This simple little ditty was written to describe Sean Penn and Madonna and their break-up. There was a Hors! e Show at the Shelbyville Fairgrounds in 1992, and Barry Smith had se t up a real estate tent. He hoped tointerest some horsefolk in a farm or two in the bluegrass nearby.

Robert Hedges approached him and while laughing reminded Smiththat he (Smith) had made $27,000. for one short Saturdayafternoon on the Hedges Farm. Smith became hostile andthreatening. The real problem is that the potential to find a serious buyerfor a former horse farm (the Hedges Farm) was never explored, nordid an auction reach the actual market value which a serioushorse farmer might pay when time to arrange financing is not animmediate pressure. Any potential buyer who would "bid" more but either has to arrange financing for such a major purchase, or doesn't wish to arrange the purchase only to be refused by a single $1. higher bid after the closing of open ! bidding will not show up. Thus fewer bidders result and lower prices prevail.

I wonder what customer's Smith has who rate a fair market price,if he is to earn a large commission.? Is he due such a largecommission simply because he once passed a realty test? Doesn'tsuch a large amount have to be earned by real work ? Recently the Spencer County Planning and Zoning Commn' had a unique opportunity to again apply the "Barry "I just drove by" Smith expert in indivisibility principle. The Foreman 700 acres is listed by Ben Green, and optioned for $50,000 per year over five years for full residential development. The price is $5500. per acre, which makes it a $3.850,000.00 project. So, Hedges acres are auctioned for as little as $200. per and now the Foremans want $5500.00 for those same or even lesser acres. Now read my web site carefully. Most states have laws against first-cousin marriages, believing they lead ! to many more babies with birth defects such as mental retardation. Wrong, says a paper published in this month's Jo7arnal of Genetic Counseling. After reviewing studies stretching back to 1965, a task force concluded that the risk of having children with mental retardation or genetic disorders is only about 1.7 percent to 2.8 percent higher in first-cousin couples than in unrelated couples. The additional risk is so small, the group says, that before conceiving, first cousins need no more screening than a thorough medical history. Will the study remove the stigma attached to first cousin marriages? The authors say it should actually mean changes to the laws, since first cousins may now be able to claim genetic discrimination if states prevent them from tying the knot. -
