    John Hedges, MP, treasurer of Prince of Wales. 1728-1737.
    His death mentioned in a letter dated 21 June 1737. He is described as unfortunate, not choosing an honorable resignation, after the "dirty work imposed upon him". He was caught in a quarrel between George II and the Prince of Wales.

    Stephen Hegge, notary public, wed a daughter of Chancellor Swift, sister of deceased Robert Swift. Their son Robert Hegge wrote the Legend of St. Cuthbert.
    "To Stephen Hegge, my true friend and brother, all or as many as myne executors shall think meate, of my bookes of the civil and common lawes, also Plowden's Commentaries, Dyvers Reportes and abridgements of booke and Fitzharbart, Magia Naturalis of Baptista Porta and little Tullyeus Offices gilt w/ golde."

    Robert Hegg wrote in his Legend of St. Cuthbert of a "brasen desk", a joynt gift of a reverend prebend - Robert Swift. The lectern was dated 14 May 1586.
