Genetics:

The genome project is a world-wide project which has the identification of each useful gene on each chromosome as a goal. There are 3.3 billion nucleotide pairs. There are four base nucleotides. A=T and G=C is the pairing of the four. 98% are junk genes while 2% are real coding for our creation and existence.

Natural selection has culled many diverse versions of the human primate. We have those characteristics which were advantageous to our survival or we perish. The environment determines which characteristic is advantageous. The speed of changes in the environment may far exceed the speed of the genetic responses to the environment. The human primate developed high melanin levels in the skin to prevent skin cancer while evolving in Africa. Moving to the Arctic changes the environment, but the genetic characteristic of a dark skin remains.

The characteristics which prove deadly when the human primate is young cause that particular version to die out quickly, whereas the genetic characteristics which do not interfere with the procreation of offspring and then kill at a later time are most likely to remain within the breeding population longer, and in fact become cumulative. Thus some deadly genetic traits remain in the human primate population. There are 155 lesser known genetic disorders besides the long known list.

We cannot recognize that a human primate has a gene which accommodates or even promotes cancer or some other deadly disease, but we can guard against certain visible genetic characteristics which are known to be disadvantageous.

The personality of an individual is based in part on the way they are perceived by others, and that personality is molded by the treatment of others. The attractive girl will have more positive feed-back from those whom she encounters, than the less attractive girl. She has an advantage both based on this personality and because her genes are more desirable, and thus are less likely to be excluded from being replicated in offspring (all other factors being equal)
