Robert Hedges is a recreationalist, and
portrays a Revolutionary war militia cavalry officer from Prince
William
County as is documented in his book,
The Hedges of Stafford/Prince William
Counties VA 1660-1980.
There were 6800 colonist casualties of the Revolutionary war, and
2000 French soldier casualties. All the surviving veterans died
also later, as is the fate of all men. The only question is what
is worth risking death for, and for what will a man be remembered
by others in history after he is gone. We remember those who
risked death for our constitutional freedoms and rights.
